I have been working at Verigent full-time (More than 5 years)
Verigent is a large company that still takes time to treat its employees like family - from supporting a mission trip to Kenya to celebrating additions to families. The President is very open about the goals and direction of the company to help ensure we are working together to reach it. I have a lot of autonomy to do my job the way I want to, while at the same time being held accountable to deadlines. That mix is perfect for me and many others here because it lets my skills and style make me the most effective I can be. I've also been continually challenged here - no two days are alike for me and I am continually learning new things which makes it fun to come to work every day!
As with many companies, we have had our share of growing pains. Developing new processes and procedures and implementing them can be very challenging. Change is often not meet with the most open of minds and that has been probably one of the biggest hurdles to overcome - and while I feel that we have come a long way, as we continue to grow, that will be an area we will need to keep in focus.
Advice to Management
Continue to do what you are doing. I feel you are listening to your employees and have implemented a lot of ideas brought from them. When hard decisions need to be made, and they will be, continue to do them with the same caring and thoughtfulness you have. I appreciate that they have shared that with us in the past and feel they will continue to do so in the future.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Verigent (Charlotte, NC) in June 2016.
The managers seem very fake and try to persuade you that this is a great place to work. After I was offered, management retracted the offer, and decided to reoffer. Red Flag.
