  • From humble beginnings around the dinning room table to becoming a Bay Area real estate powerhouse. We are so honored for our CEO, Yat-Pang Au, to be named the Multifamily Executive of the Year.

  • We were very excited to welcome Project SEARCH interns to our office yesterday to see how the skills they learn in Project SEARCH can be applied to other positions.

    Project SEARCH is a training partnership with Kaiser Permanente, San Francisco School District, and WorkLink. Each year, 8-10 interns with intellectual and developmental disabilities work at Kaiser Permanente's San Francisco medical centers and hospital. The goal of the program is to give young adults with disabilities an opportunity to learn skills that will enable them to work in hospitals or other professional settings.

    Our very own, Enrique Rodriguez Jr., participated in this program when he was graduating from high school and he was delighted to be yesterday's host for the intern's visit.

Veritas Investments dates back nearly 20 years, with the firm having grown out of the initial success of property investments made by Founder and Chief Executive Officer Yat-Pang Au.

Mr. Au is a San Francisco Bay Area native and self-starter who, as a youngster, fixed coin-operated laundry machines to help the family business. He acquired his first investment property in 1996 and then built Veritas from the ground up by following a straightforward strategy: acquire classic properties, make upgrades to improve the resident experience and property values, and work within the community as a good neighbor who values the past, while looking to forge a better future.

Here's how Veritas has grown from Mr. Au's first apartment building in Silicon Valley to become one of the largest apartment owner/operators in the San Francisco Bay Area.

    I have been working at Veritas Investments full-time


    Great leadership with management who are outstanding. Leadership like that doesn't come around often, so when it does, embrace and enjoy it! There's a healthy work/life balance. The company has a surprisingly close feel among colleagues who seem to genuinely care about each other. There's also unlimited vacation, 401k, and health insurance.


    As with almost all companies, the pay could be better, but quarterly bonuses help offset that issue.

    I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Veritas Investments (San Francisco, CA) in October 2016.


    Phone interview.
    In person interview with previous person in the role.
    Given DISC profile to fill out online.
    Follow-up interview with team I'd be joining as well as the CEO and an executive coach.
    Executive coach was one of the most intense interviews reviewing my answers from the DISC profile and clearly for bullsh*t detection. Passed with flying colors and offer was made.
