I have been working at Veterinary System Services part-time (Less than a year)

Working with VSS has been a great way to balance having a part-time job on my terms. I took a break from the industry for a couple of years and had been looking to get back in without committing to one clinic on a tight schedule. VSS has let me jump in with different teams that have all been very helpful in onboarding me to the ways of their clinics. Bonuses are also great for different shifts, and I like the shift differential pay that is offered - giving higher pay to the less-desired time slots. This is a great way to change up the old routine if you're bored in your current practice.

    Advice to Management

If you are new(ish) to vet med, or don't have scrubs, needing to buy those beforehand as well as paying for your drug test can be burdensome if cash is low. Interviewers seemed to be located in Ft. Collins, so if you live in the south metro area, meeting for an interview can require a longer drive. It would be great if there was someone located further south for these meetings.

It would also be great to have a check-in from a rep every few months.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Veterinary System Services (Denver, CO) in January 2018.

There are 2 interviews by different account managers and a skills assessment written test. The test is given at the end of the first interview. It is not a pass or fail test. It is so they can gauge your skills to better place you in various hospitals since they cannot do a working interview.
