INSURANCE

We provide insurance for full-time employees and their families at fair and reasonable costs:

  • Comprehensive medical coverage, which includes prescription drug coverage for employees and dependents - choice of two plans.
  • Dental coverage for employees and dependents - choice of two plans.
  • Vision care for employees and dependents at no cost to the employee. An enhanced vision plan, which provides additional coverage for employees and dependents, is available for purchase at a minimal cost.
  • Company-paid insurance benefits at no cost to the employee, which include short-term and long-term disability coverage, business travel accident coverage, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, and employee and dependent life coverage. Additional life coverage for employees and dependents is available for purchase at group rates.
  • Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), which allow employees to use pre-tax dollars to pay for dependent care expenses and health care costs not covered by insurance. 
  • Pet Insurance for dogs, cats, birds and exotic pets, which includes coverage for accidents, illnesses and preventive care, is available for purchase at discounted group rates.
  • Legal Advice and Covered Legal Services for employees and dependents at a low monthly rate.

TUITION REIMBURSEMENT

Vi is committed to providing employees the opportunity for professional growth, which is why we offer tuition reimbursement to help full-time employees make progress toward their career goals. Participating employees receive reimbursement for educational expenses, including tuition, textbooks, and supplies associated with approved courses.

401(K) RETIREMENT PLAN

Employees can set aside money for their retirement through a traditional 401(K) and/or Roth 401(K) option. Vi provides a generous company matching contribution each pay period with immediate vesting.

PAID TIME OFF

We believe well-rested employees are happier and more productive employees. Full-time and part-time employees receive time off with pay either through a paid time off (PTO) program or vacation program. Full-time employees who receive vacation are also eligible for holidays and sick days. All full-time employees also receive time off with pay for bereavement.

SERVICE RECOGNITION

Vi's Service Recognition Program is designed to engage employees and residents in recognizing exceptional performance. The recognition pillars of customer service, teamwork, quality and efficiency, and leadership mirror Vi's core values - integrity, compassion, and excellence.

PRE-TAX TRANSIT BENEFITS

Where applicable, employees may use pre-tax money to pay for their commuting costs, including public transportation and parking expenses associated with their employment.

TRAINING PROGRAMS

At Vi, we continually invest in training and development to help employees realize their career goals. Employees benefit from a wide-range of classroom, online and virtual training opportunities. 

DEVELOPING LEADERS

Vi believes in the power of effective leadership and is committed to ensuring that our leaders have the training, tools and resources to effectively lead their teams. Feedback from our employee survey tells us that investments in training and development of leaders are making a difference. 

BUSINESS ORIENTATION

All new company leaders participate in a rigorous orientation program, which includes a learning plan comprised of webinars, online courses, mentoring, and classroom training. 

MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

We are very proud of our many servers and housekeepers, as well as engineering, dining, culinary, and administrative staff who have successfully graduated from Vi's Management Development Program (MDP). Many of Vi's MDP graduates have experienced career progression as a results of our exclusive program focused on developing future leaders. Selected employees participate in a year-long learning plan filled with courses, experiential learning, and mentoring.

HARVARD BUSINESS COURSES, SIMULATIONS AND WEBINARS

Vi invests in high-quality educational experiences through our relationship with Harvard Business Publishing. Employees readily have access to Harvard Management Mentor courses, simulations, and webinars, which draw research from recognized thought leaders.

BREAKTHROUGH LEADERSHIP

Breakthrough Leadership is Vi's signature leadership development program for experienced leaders with potential to move into a higher level position at Vi or take on additional responsibility. This year-long program includes assessments, coaching, classroom and online learning, and Harvard Business Publishing virtual study groups and learning.

EMERGING LEADERS

New and emerging leaders may be nominated to participate in Vi's Emerging Leaders Program. In partnership with Harvard Business Publishing, leaders participate in a six month virtual learning program intended to enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of growing leaders.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

For employees interested in enhancing skills in their chosen field or for those looking to build knowledge for a future career, Vi is right there to support staff.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Vi offers professional education programs for our food and beverage team members through our relationship with the Culinary Institute of America. Industry-leading education programs include the Certified Dietary Manager Program and Certified Executive Chef Program. In addition, through Vi's online university, E-Campus, Vi offers access to a custom learning center for culinary and dining service employees, including courses and videos.

HOUSEKEEPING AND ENGINEERING

Vi offers professional education and training courses for housekeeping and engineering team members. Our partnership with the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute allows us to offer engineering and housekeeping certifications.

HUMAN RESOURCES

For Vi's human resource professionals, the company offers a comprehensive online human resources learning site containing courses for professional development and continuing education courses to maintain human resources certifications.

NURSING

Vi supports its nursing team members by making their continuing education as easy as possible. More than 1,000 free professional development courses are available to support our nursing professionals with their development needs.

SPECIALIZED TRAINING

In addition to our formal leadership development and continuing education offerings, Vi provides specialized learning opportunities for employees interested in topics ranging from sales to second languages. 

CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING

All new employees participate in our customer service training programs. With more than 1,000 courses, simulations and resources, E-CAMPUS is available 24/7. It features courses and resources on a variety of topics, including personal and professional development, business essentials, software, customer service, and sales.

LANGUAGE TRAINING

For employees desiring to improve English as their second language or seeking to learn a new language, Vi offers language training through Rosetta Stone.

SALES TRAINING

Comprised of one-on-one sessions and mentoring, as well as classroom and online education, Vi's sales training includes access to our custom Sales Learning Center, which is rich with courses and resources.

    A stable company that does a great job of recognizing employees.

    Cons

    Being an employee here can require a lot of patience. Also the local cost of living requires lengthy commuting.

    Advice to Management

    Please build a Vi in Utah, perhaps just outside Park City...
