Vionic Group – Why Work For Us?

OUR HISTORY- ESTABLISHED IN 1979

Vionic's mission began with the work of renowned podiatrist Phillip Vasyli. A pioneer and innovator in the field of lower-limb biomechanics, Vasyli treated thousands of patients, ranging from young children to amateur and professional athletes. Known by friends and colleagues as a "born healer," he had a genuine passion for making orthotic treatment more affordable and accessible to people in need of pain relief.

Early in his career, Vasyli realized that the only treatment options for many common foot-related ailments, like plantar fasciitis or over-pronation, were costly and time-consuming. In response to the overwhelming demand for a solution, he invented one of the first heat-moldable orthotics, a low-cost option that allowed patients to walk out of his practice feeling better than when they'd come in. This philosophy laid the groundwork for the award-winning Orthaheel orthotic, the world's first and only true orthotic available without a doctor's prescription.

I have been working at Vionic Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Vionic was a great place to start working early in your career. The company is growing quickly and everyone is optimistic and determined. We receive a generous discount on shoes (woohoo!), health insurance benefits, snacks(!) and the occasional "snow day". One of my favorite things about the company is that we have "team huddles" and we hear company news from different departments. It makes you feel like you're making a difference to see your work affect others instead of being a solitary typing individual at a desk. There is definitely opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

It's a desk job but there are often office events and a daily walking group to get you moving.

    Advice to Management

As the company grows, continue to focus on culture and encouraging communication between departments! The niche details can be make or break effective work progress.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Vionic Group.

    Interview

The interview process is pretty horrible. I interviewed in person and never heard back. I sent a thank you note that was ignored. Then I sent a standard follow up email and still nothing. A week later I asked if I could get a status update and I could not get a response. Not even a voice mail message two weeks later was returned. Obviously they reposted the job but their practice is to not let anyone know what's going on and to just keep you in the dark even if you are not selected. It's fine to say no or yes but to ignore candidates is bad practice especially ones hat actually interview in person. Process is Phone interview then and in person interview then a second in person interview and hours of driving on my end with no decision.
