I have been working at Virginia Hospital Center full-time (Less than a year)
Best places for RN’s focuses on professional growth, nursing staff has support with career management team. They promote from within. And that makes the hospital the best to work in the area.
Pay could be better. Insurance is expensive. Work load can be heavy. Stocks in old way of doing things. Short staff. Need to invest more on teaching staff.
Advice to Management
Teaching and in service should be implemented, coming from other sister hospital, feel as if some of the staff are unsure of the protocols.
I applied online. I interviewed at Virginia Hospital Center (Arlington, VA) in September 2016.
I applied online and soon received a phone call from HR for a phone interview. Then they called again and scheduled an in person interview in the recruitment office. After that I went for and interview with the Patient Care Director of the unit followed by a peer interview from RNs and PCAs on the unit. Then i got the phone call offering me the job followed by an email with everything in writing.
