I worked at Virtual Causeway full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most of my fellow employees were pretty decent people.

    Good location.

Let us attend Remembrance Day ceremony during work hours.

    Cons

Scared the heck out of my parents. After I had called in sick with a cold, turned off my ringer, and went back to sleep, they called my parents repeatedly as my emergency contacts, despite the fact they had received my message. Wanted to see if I was really sick or just taking the day off. Sick days aren't even paid. It was the only sick day I had ever taken, 6 months into the job, and I was a consistently high performer.

Team events which are mandatory, off hours, and that you have to pay for out of pocket.

Extreme micromanagement. Chastised for putting bags on our desks.

Tried to go home from work due to nausea and galloping diarrhea, and was questioned as to the nature of my illness and whether I was sick enough that I could justify going home.

    Advice to Management

Turnover would decrease if you actually cared about your staff.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Virtual Causeway in May 2014.

    Interview

They conduct a 20 minute phone screening first, and then a second round of in-person interviews for those selected. It was short and sweet, talked a little bit about the compnay and a little bit about myself.
