Volume Nine – Why Work For Us?

undefined

Volume Nine is committed to a workplace that empowers and engages its most valuable asset, Our People. We accomplish this through Workplace Culture, Work-Life Balance, Training & Development, Giving Back to the Community, and Benefits.

In working with our team, you’ll find that we aren’t your typical Internet marketers. Our halls aren’t crawling with stressed out professionals decked in suits, and you won’t find us ordering $20 cocktails at the local yuppie bars. Instead, you are more likely to find a group of energetic geeks who wear jeans to work, like snowboarding on weekends, and prefer the taste beer from a local brewery.

It’s your career. And we understand that you have an array of choices in virtually every aspect of your life. You can custom craft your experiences to suit your individual needs and interests. That’s why Volume Nine offers training and development programs, varied insurance benefits, and employee recognition! So you can choose the best fit for both your career and your life. We understand that attracting the highest caliber talent means offering an exciting job and peace of mind.

A wide array of healthcare options

Volume Nine’s healthcare offerings include comprehensive and competitive plans through a national carrier with contributions towards employee health and dental premiums. A variety of medical plans options are available to help fit the needs of our professionals and their families, offering different coverage levels and costs based upon your preferences and how you choose to receive medical care.

For dental, we provide access to in-network and out-of-network providers, with coverage for preventive dental care as well as major dental work.

By way of supplemental coverage, we offer a voluntary vision plan that allows you to elect additional coverage to help pay for the cost of your vision care needs and Long-Term Disability insurance that helps to cover a portion of an employee's income when the employee has become injured or seriously ill for an extended period of time.

Life insurance

Volume Nine provides a $50,000 employee life policy to all full-time employees at no cost to the employee.

In addition, Volume Nine offers a voluntary life insurance plan whereby the employee may purchase additional life insurance for themselves and their spouse.

A focus on work/life balance

Of course, we understand that physical health is not the only factor in supporting our people, which is why we offer programs focused on well-being. These include:

  • Unlimited Paid-Time-Off (PTO)
  • Flexible Schedules
  • Remote Working Opportunities

And these are just a few of our well-being programs in addition to offerings like group insurance, vision and long-term disability.

A compliment goes a long way

In addition to the healthcare and well-being benefits, Volume Nine offers the following employee recognition to our team members:

  • Monthly recognition of team members celebrating employment anniversaries
  • Employment anniversary gifts from V9
  • Annual CRANK IT UP Award

Benefits are subject to change at any time, and there is no intention of promise or contract by listing benefits here.

Are You Looking to Crank Up Your Career?

Then, look no further! We’re one of Colorado’s largest SEO firms & we are dedicated to hiring top talent. Like most small businesses, we started out in a basement (Chuck’s basement to be specific). However, we dedicated ourselves to being a little different then most SEO companies, and because of that, V9 has taken off and is now hit the Inc 5000 and Denver Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Companies for the past 3 years.

I worked at Volume Nine full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

One of the, if not the best company I have worked for in the past 20 years! Management is always going above and beyond to take care of the employees. As it is a fast paced environment, they really do take the time to make sure everyone is included and make you feel like you are actually a part of the company, not just an employee. A lot of the little benefits make it all a worthwhile place to work, ie can work remote 2 days a week, unlimited PTO.

My previous fellow employees were some of the best and smartest people dedicated to making clients and V9 a success.

    Cons

It is a smaller company and some challenges do come from that in a work environment. Fast paced, can be stressful at times with so few employees which can lead to burn out for some. Although some do thrive in these types of situations, not everyone does.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! As V9 expands and grows, make sure to keep the value on the employees and not just clients. Good help is hard to find.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Volume Nine in March 2017.

    Interview

The interview process was great overall. It does take quite a bit of time, but I never felt like I was waiting around for a response. There are three steps, a questionnaire, a call, and then an in-person interview. Volume Nine was clear from the start that the interview process is not short, as they are trying to find the best fit for them and take additional steps to do so, which I really appreciated.

The questionnaire gave me a good understanding of the depth and breadth of knowledge that Volume Nine was looking for. It was about 20 short answer questions. The call was great with the People Department after that. Super laid back and easy going. Lastly, the in-person meeting was with the President and the Account Director and was also very relaxed. They were both very cognizant of my time. A few days later, I was asked to provide three references and I received a formal offer letter shortly after.
