I worked at Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado full-time
The organization is doing great work to be a leader in outdoor stewardship. Provides fun and rewarding volunteer projects.
Very busy and long project season. Need to rely on volunteer leadership to make projects successful and limited leadership volunteers can make projects challenging.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (Denver, CO) in March 2011.
I interviewed at Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado after applying through Colorado College's Public Interest Fellowship Program. The first round of interviews was internal at Colorado College and then they recommended applicants to the non profits.
The interview was in Denver on a weekday afternoon and it was about 40 minutes long. There were two interviewers. They asked basic questions about why I wished to work there and gave me time to talk about who I was. At the end they asked me if I had any questions for them. Very low stress interview.
