I worked at Voyage Media as an intern
My time at Voyage Media helped me grow in ways that I didn’t expect. I was given real and impactful responsibilities that made me feel like my contributions mattered. Voyage is filled with the most supportive crew who care a lot about the work they do. Being able to work with real producers in the entertainment industry was an amazing experience that expanded my knowledge of the industry every day!
Only con is not paying interns. I understand why- they are a small company that is growing every day.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Voyage Media (Los Angeles, CA).
This was the most tedious interview that I've ever went through in my 15 years in the workforce and I still think about it to this day because of how violated I felt. After a couple rounds of incredibly intrusive personal questions that they really had no business asking, I had a Skype with the head of the company Nat who continued to grill me further - even asking me the same questions and the pre-screen (don't they share notes?). He took my resume and literally went through each job and grilled me on all angles about it and even asked me to list jobs I didn't have on the resume dating back to high school. On every job, he would ask me about my boss and wanted me to bad mouth every one I had and when I refused to do so because it made me uncomfortable...Nat abruptly ended the interview saying that I wouldn't be a good fit. That was the only thing I agreed with him the entire time. Guy made it seem like I was interviewing for a government job instead of a tiny little nothing company. I'm so thankful I didn't get this job because I'm sure I would have been miserable.
