I worked at WFAA-TV as an intern (Less than a year)
I'm passionate about broadcast journalism and interning at one of the top stations in the country was a dream come true. I learned so much and had the most incredible mentor who helped me grow so much. Everyone there is so willing to help the interns and truly want to see us grow and succeed in this business. The work environment was extremely professional and everyone respected each other, but it was also super fun and exciting and was never boring. WFAA really is the best of the best and I grew more than I ever thought I could as a journalist in just a few short months. Also, it was a paid internship! Internships are usually not paid so that was amazing.
Nothing about this station is bad. I wish the internship was longer because I didn't want to leave!
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you do because this always has been and always will be one of the top stations in the country!
