I worked at WLR Automotive Group full-time
Unfortunately, I can't think of any pros to working at WLR. The negatives were so overwhelming. That's unfortunate because it could be beacon to businesses in the area.
All decisions are quick and off the cuff without full thought about real cost, implications and the affect on the business(es), employees, and ultimately the customers. Objectives are not clear and are constantly changing so there is no way to truly measure success. The turn over/ dismissal rates for employees are excessive. The same can be said for the number of re-organizations. So much so that management has to ask if its the employees, management or something else?
Advice to Management
Start taking the time to assess your decisions with respect to the business not politics. Too much of the decision making process is left to the businesses. You need a better balance of authority between corporate offices and the actual locations. Doing so will give parties involved a better view of the overall businesses, costs, their needs, ability to plan and meet goals.
