Growth opportunities because of large workload. Working with the elderly brings forth compassion which motivates doing good work. Staff is great and very caring and nurturing to the residents. Most management mentors their employees.
Workload can be stressful and regular layoffs can affect administrative and patient care staff. Can create an "am i next?" mentality. No merit based and very infrequent annual raises, even when a job is "erased" and you're given much more responsibilities.
I applied in-person. The process took a week. I interviewed at Wartburg Adult Care Community in February 2008.
Relatively easy to get a job there.
