Waypoint Homes strives to make a positive impact on society and the environment. We believe that when our neighborhoods thrive, that we do, too.

To encourage our employees to support the community, each Waypoint employee receives 20 hours a year of paid time off for volunteerism. We encourage our employees to spend this time using their unique skills to support the neighborhoods in which we work. We are proud of the generosity and passion with which our team members advance a number of good causes.

    I worked at Waypoint Homes full-time

    Pros

    Environment was laid back. Snacks and beverages were provided for staff.

    Cons

    Dealing with eviction processes, unruly residents was difficult. A hostile environment at times.

    Advice to Management

    More meetings with internal staff to achieve more thorough communication.

    I applied online. I interviewed at Waypoint Homes.

    Interview

    Applied on the company website and two weeks later received a call from HR to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. As an out-of-state candidate, the 20 minute interview consisted of me answering a question about being able to facilitate a move if I was hired, and, other than "walk me through your resume", I can't recall any other specific questions about my experience or fit. The interviewer sounded nervous and distracted, and it was hard to get any sort of conversation going. I asked a few questions about the culture but that was answered in a round about way, with the manager saying he "liked always being busy". Nothing about the work environment and management. Overall, it was a poor experience due to an awkward and unprepared interviewer.
