We have exciting news to share – The Detroit Free Press has named Webasto Americas a Top Work Place in Michigan for the second year in a row! This is an achievement we are most proud of because at Webasto, we measure our success based off the feedback of our colleagues.
Thank you to our Webasto Family for making us a Top Work Place!
Did you know that in Michigan, 1,414,700 people are struggling with hunger – and of them 356,930 are children? Someone you know may be hungry; your co-worker, your child’s classmate, your elderly parents. Charitable deeds are abundant around the holidays and are often forgotten in the summer months, but hunger is not isolated to one day or season.
Our Webasto family recognizes the community’s need for food security. Together we collected 304 pounds of food for donation – this effort will provide roughly 720 meals!
We are proud to have collaborated with Gleaners. Thank you to all who donated!
How we work together...
Webasto's rich culture is one of our most treasured qualities. WE put our people first - always. The many ways we communicate with and listen to our colleagues is a key driver of our business success! WE live by our ONE Webasto values globally and here in the Americas region, our daily behavior and interactions are guided by Our Compass, a cultural road map developed by our own colleagues. This the essence of our colleagues and our warm, welcoming culture.

The Vision component "Our Inspiration" describes our culture. It defines how we work together in the context of globally applicable values and principles for leaders and employees.
We have established a global network. Therefore, we are always close to our customers, so we can be a strong and reliable partner. Our collaboration is increasingly networked across continents and business units. A shared understanding of how we work and act together is the basis of our success.
Drawing on existing, regional culture programs, we have developed five global Webasto Values. They form the action framework for how employees conduct themselves with one another and with our customers and business partners. Our shared corporate culture creates a bond across cultural boundaries and provides us with an identity. This enables every employee to feel he or she is part of Webasto.
When we help shape new technologies for the mobility of tomorrow, and get a bit better at it every day. That´s what means Feel the Drive

Each in their own way and in their own position.
Webasto has been family-owned since its foundation in 1901. The company has been a supplier to the automotive industry for over 75 years: today it is split into the divisions Roof & Components and Thermo & Comfort for heating and air conditioning systems.

I worked at Webasto full-time (Less than a year)
This company was a pleasure to work for. They always tried to help the best they could if family matter came up. They are also more then happy to help with overtime as long as the company had the work to give.
The only con I had with the company was that if you get hired in you have to work the second shift, no exceptions. I unfortunately was not able to do this due to personal reasons so it caused this to be a dead end job for me,
Advice to Management
Allow people to be hired in on the shift they currently work. It was very discouraging to have to walk away after the hard work I put in just because I couldn't work a shift I was not even hired to work.
I applied online. I interviewed at Webasto.
The interview started with my self introduction. And the director was interviewing me 90% of my real life situations and how I was handling them. There were about 4-5 questions in total. The interview took me 30 mins. It was a nice chat with the director.
