Mission: To radically improve patient engagement and healthcare outcomes by harnessing the nexus of clinical, behavioral and UX science, along with mobile technologies, to transform the treatment of chronic diseases globally.
WellDoc was founded by Dr. Suzanne Sysko Clough, a forward-thinking endocrinologist who was undeterred by the limitations of technology in 2005. She believed there had to be a better way to help patients manage type 2 diabetes when they needed help the most – between office visits.
Since then, we’ve been developing health innovations to make this dream a reality. We’ve commercialized BlueStar, the first mobile prescription technology in American mobile healthcare, empowering people living with type 2 diabetes to manage their disease the best they can within the demands of day-to-day life.
We are committed to building tools that are device-agnostic, integrated with the healthcare system and driven by evidence based medicine.
That’s why we’ve built a commercial model that focuses on the healthcare team as much as the BlueStar user to bring “healthy change” to the management of type 2 diabetes.
At its core, our commercial model is driven from the initiation of BlueStar through a prescription from a health care provider.
Engagement and adherence to therapy is linked to the connection between people learning to manage type 2 diabetes and the people who take care of them.
