I worked at Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety full-time (More than 3 years)
Great opportunity to work within a large organisation among high-calibre peers.
One of the most toxic environments I've ever witnessed. Fun of any kind was actively discouraged by the department manager to the point of being instructed not to "waste time greeting coworkers" upon arrival to head office when on an interstate trip. Work/life balance non-existent with constant pressure to work after-hours, and leaving late being encouraged as a badge of honor by the middle-management team.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety (Sydney (Australia)).
Over the phone interview with group manager. Interview lasted around 1 hour and it consisted of going through the resume and a small market entry scenario.
Over the phone interview with group colleague and HR representative. Interview lasted for around 1 hour and it mainly consisted with 'How would you deal with this scenario?' type of questions.
