I have been working at Western Asset Management full-time
It really is a team environment where you are held to a high standard and can also have fun. I’ve found that people are positive and willing to work together to solve problems. I also find that my input is always welcome and that I’m encouraged to give feedback and share my thoughts candidly even with those who are far senior to me. There is a sense that every person is valuable and critical to the company’s success. The culture also has a nice combination of serious professionalism and a laid back feel.
In terms of career growth opportunities, there are so many different types of projects to work on, and the company seems to really value people taking initiative, taking the lead and taking ownership. There are also more formal training options.

Advice to Management
The focus on diversity and inclusion should continue.
I applied online. I interviewed at Western Asset Management (New York, NY) in April 2017.
Submitted resume online and was contacted for an interview in person within a week. HR arranged 4 people to meet and it took 3 hours overall (avg 30-45 mins each person) Starting from HR for introduction then team manager then head of the dept and another team manager, Lastly HR to walk out.
