Diversity & Inclusion Mission Statement:

We thrive on the power and potential of diversity. As a global company, we believe that the most effective way to embrace the diversity of our customers and communities is to mirror it from within. We believe that the fusion of various perspectives results in the best outcomes for our employees, our company, our customers, and the world around us. We are committed to an inclusive environment where every individual can thrive through a sense of belonging, respect, and contribution.

Global Giving and Doing:

At Western Digital, we care! When you join our team, you join in our commitment to respond to the needs of the communities where the company operates and where our employees live. Our Global Giving and Doing efforts focus on three key areas:

1.) Education-Our top philanthropic priority, we support programs that provide underrepresented and/or underprivileged students with opportunities to thrive in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.

2.) Hunger Relief- With the knowledge that there is enough food to eradicate hunger globally, we look to partner with organizations with a predominant focus on alleviating hunger locally; especially those that strategize and collaborate towards eliminating the issue.

3.) Environmental Preservation- As a global corporate citizen, we recognize our responsibility to be excellent stewards of the one home we all share. As such, we prioritize support to programs aimed at environmental protection or preservation, and the public education of such issues.

These key focus areas are supported through a variety of programs. Our unique employee volunteer program allows teams of employees to step away from their desks to provide hands-on help in the community while also earning a grant for the non-profit partner. We also offer community grants and product donations, employee donation matching in times of natural disasters, and a $1M global scholarship program in support of STEM education. In the U.S., we also support programs that serve military families and veterans.

Giving back is important at Western Digital and we believe more can be achieved when we do it together! Come join us in making the world a better place.
