    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Western Mesquite Mines full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company provides decent benefits to employees including 401K matching, quarterly bonus and typical health benefits.

    Cons

There are few managers or supervisors who seem to show much care for the employees. There are no options for flexibility of schedule, which can be difficult at times. The mine is owned by a corporation in Canada, so operations is very detached from corporate.

    Advice to Management

Lead by example, at least pretend you care and the culture would be a lot better.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Western Mesquite Mines.

    Interview

They prefer to hire tempororay employees, but if you are confident, do your best to get get hired on as a full time employee. The interview depends on what department you will be trying to work for. For upper level, management or supervisor type positions they will likely conduct a longer interview where you meet one on one with various managers and employees from each department. If it is an operations type job you might only meet with individuals from that specific department. It is a large operation, located about an hour from the nearest town, so be prepared for a long day.
