Mission: On the road, in the air, and around the world, Whelen is trusted to be seen, trusted to be heard, trusted to perform.
Designing and manufacturing great products cannot happen without great people. There are over 1,500 people behind the products we produce. Although we all share a common vision for Whelen, we come from many different backgrounds, making Whelen a diverse community.
Our facilities are designed to promote interactions between employees within and throughout departments. Our management team is easily accessible and supports the sharing of ideas and opinions.
We are very proud of the products we make. Many of us are actively involved in volunteer fire and EMS departments, where our products are used firsthand.
Encouraging innovation is the root of our workplace culture.
I have been working at Whelen Engineering Company full-time
Bonus, good people, treat employees well
Drama and people pretending they are your superior
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Whelen Engineering Company (Charlestown, NH) in May 2010.
The hiring process was fairly straightforward. I was refereed to work at whelen by a friend. I was able to bypass the whole Co-works debacle. I had a few interview questions which i will outline below and i had to pass a drug test and a background check.
1) Why do you want to work here?
2) Explain a time when you had to work in a team with people you did not like.
3) What are your life goals and how will Whelen help you achieve them?
Here is what we are offering you and there is no negotiation.
