I have been working at Wiltshire Council full-time
Opportunities for learning and development. Flexible working is a big plus, being able to start and finish at different times, love it. Supportive managers who are there to provide guidance and support, frequent 1-2-1s also track progress. The trust that managers have for their staff is great, from my first day I felt apart of the team. County Hall itself is a nice building to work in, being a lover of food, the atrium offers quite the selection.
Cuts to the budget, although not really Wiltshire Council's fault here.
Hot desks at times can be a little bit annoying.
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work!
I applied online. I interviewed at Wiltshire Council.
Panel interview with 3 interviewers. Interview consisted of questions based on behaviours preceded by a short test on writing a communications plan for a scenario. Was made to wait a long time before being asked to go into the room.
It's official - Wiltshire Council is the top UK local council to work for! http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQPSo
