We are the incumbent local telephone company in communities across 18 states. In these areas, we offer high-speed internet, traditional voice, and video services to residential customers. For small business customers, we provide a wide range of advanced internet, voice, and web conferencing services to enhance business productivity. We also offer online backup, remote IT, managed web design, web hosting and various email services.
We leverage our nationwide network to deliver 100 Gbps bandwidth and transport services to other telecommunications providers and network operators. These offerings include special access services, which include access and transport services to end-users, and Ethernet and Wave transport up to 100 Gbps. Great company to work for. Loved my co-workers and manager in Ephrata, PA. Good culture and probably the best job I ever had. Would have stayed if didn't have to care for ailing parents.
Highly competitive market and product...difficult to sell dedicated bandwidth and justify the cost against cable modem (not comparing apples to apples).

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Windstream in January 2018.
After applying online, I received an email to schedule a telephone interview. At the end of the telephone interview, the recruiter approved that I move to the next step and scheduled and completed an in-person interview. I was impressed with my recruiter's attentiveness and follow-through.
