At our annual national sales conference we invite all of our sales employees to attend breakout sessions and notable speakers. Our employees have the opportunity to learn new and refine existing skills from industry experts and peers. Last year we invited Mike Ferry, who is recognized as one of the top leading real estate coaching speakers in the country, and Realtors to join in our sales conference as a networking opportunity. Some examples of the topics presented include: Closed Door Selling, Self-Employed Borrowers, Building Referral Relationships, How Culture Affects Deals, Social Media, Conflict Resolution and Emotional Intelligence, Creating the Perfect Loan File, Business Writing, and Time Management.


If you are a recent college graduate and are unsure which direction to take with your career, then our Leadership Development Program would be a great fit for you. This program allows recent graduates the opportunity to work in multiple departments in a rotational program, so that you can find what best fits you without having to job hop from company to company.


Nothing could be possible without our operations departments. They are the ones who do all of the necessary, “behind the scenes” work of a mortgage.


Our CEO is a big believer in keeping employees informed of Wintrust Mortgage’s long and short term goals and how each person plays a part. Every other month David has a meeting with the employees at our headquarters and shares how we have been performing and what are some expectations for the coming months. Building a team mentality and being prepared for any circumstance are at the forefront of every meeting.

    I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Wintrust Mortgage (Rosemont, IL) in March 2015.

    Interview

    They ask for employee referrals, and after a family member referred me, I had a phone interview, followed by an in-person interview in Rosemont, followed by another follow-up phone interview. I interviewed with HR and on the whole they were friendly and professional. I brought copies of my resume even though they already had it, dressed professionally, and sent a follow up thank you email, which were all important to do according to the exec who hired me.
