I worked at Witt/Kieffer part-time (More than a year)
The people at Witt/Kieffer in Oak Brook, IL are for the most part very friendly. Once you become their friend, they will be very open. It's a little challenging to fit in right away. There is a stacked refrigerator with different beverages including La Croix. Every birthday was celebrated too, which was nice for the one whose birthday it was as well as the coworkers who wanted cookies and cake!
The atmosphere was rather stuffy, but this is probably because it's an older building.
There were some older consultants who were really rude and inconsiderate.
Advice to Management
Renovate the office space. People will work more efficiently and form better relationships.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6+ months. I interviewed at Witt/Kieffer.
Process was incredibly long start to finish. Nearly 5 months or so. During which time other positions came up through the firm, but since I was a candidate for one position they would not permit me to become a candidate for another position.
Interview with the recruiter was a pleasant experience - felt more like a personality test than learning more about my professional experience. But there were long gaps of time when I did not hear from them about next steps or what was going on. When I finally met with their client - it was a horrible interview. I feel like they could have better prepared me by sharing information on the personalities of the type of people I was meeting with. Furthermore, it would have helped to know what my strengths were (according to them) and any areas of concern the client might have (so that I could address it in the meeting).
I would work with them again - but just know that it is going to require some time (and patience) start to finish.
