I worked at Woods Services full-time (More than 5 years)
The work itself was easy and it was a joy to make a difference in the kids lives. It's extremely fulfilling when one of the clients achieved their goals with your assistance and move on to better and bigger things.
Management politics and the gossips were a lot to deal with at times. One would think it was middle or high school sometimes because of the way some of the staffs acted.
Advice to Management
Keep the politics to a minimum. Look more at someone's qualifications rather than whether or not you like them.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Woods Services (New York, NY).
Strange process. Started at HR. Filled out paperwork/waited around for 45 minutes. Was sent to a building on the other side of campus. On arrival, was told I was in the wrong place (I followed HR's directions exactly, and went to the building that they wrote down on a map for me). I was sent to a different building where the staff was unprepared for an interview. They asked a few questions off the cuff and gave me a tour.
