Mission: To serve people of all ages and levels of care with a unique model that drives greater achievement for individuals -- and best practices for the industry.
Woods Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit multi-service population health management and advocacy organization that provides innovative, comprehensive and integrated health, education, housing, workforce, behavioral health and case management services to more than 4,000 children and adults in the intellectual and developmental disability, child welfare, behavioral and brain trauma public health sectors who have complex and intensive medical and behavioral healthcare needs.
Woods applies evidenced-based treatments and a public health approach to develop innovative and individualized supports that empower people with disabilities and challenges to reach their highest potential.
We were founded a century ago by visionary Mollie Woods with two simple goals – to advance the quality of life and standard of care for individuals with disabilities. She gained international recognition for her work in helping children with exceptional needs experience the joy of achievement and lead fulfilling lives.
Today, we’ve broadened her mission to serve people of all ages and levels of care with a unique model, The Exceptional Care Model that drives greater achievement for individuals – and best practices for the industry. Just as Mollie did over 100 years ago, we believe our mission and model are one in the same: Exceptional People. Fulfilling Lives.
We are steadfast in supporting freedom of choice and the quest for independence of each child and adult we serve.
We are accountable for providing innovative, high quality, comprehensive, integrated, accessible, and coordinated systems of care.
We advocate on behalf of and with the communities we serve.
We respect and celebrate diversity and inclusion.

Advice to Management

I applied online. I interviewed at Woods Services in May 2014.
The interview was with two house managers. They asked me normal interview questions and were very pleasant. I was very comfortable in the room. They were very laid back and did not apply a lot of pressure on me. I felt that the vibe in the room was very good.
They also asked me about my experience and background. Although I never worked in a residential setting before, they were very open to me.
