I have been working at Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary full-time

    Pros

With the change in administration in 2016, the culture of the Sanctuary has dramatically improved. Management has made a strong effort to improve HR policies and benefits and to invest in the growth of their employees. It's apparent that they really care about the happiness and well-being of their employees. That's what produces the best work and consequently saves the most animals, after all!

    Other pros include:
    -Hardworking, passionate colleagues
    -Growing organization
    -Small, startup culture
    -Access to upper level management
    -Vegan workplace
    -350+ rescued animals
-A place you still want to hang out at when you're off the clock!

    Cons

Because it's a small nonprofit, time and resources are limited and we don't have the means to do all that we want to do. Employees end up wearing many different hats since the team is so small.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in your employees and continue to focus on depth rather than breadth in the movement.
