I have been working at Wunder Capital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wunder is a place where passionate people come together to tackle one of the most challenging problems facing society: Climate Change. Everyone is aligned in our fight against global warming and combined with our determination & efficacy, we have made major progress in our abilities to finance small to medium scale commercial solar, an under-served area of the solar market.

-The office environment is fantastic but Wunder offers the freedom to work from home or remote locations - Outputs are always valued over inputs.

-There are two employee offsites which allow a respite from the day-to-day while making sure we stay on track.

-Team breakfasts & lunches occur weekly and happy hours happen regularly

-Leadership encourages feedback and open communication between all

    Cons

Commercial solar is difficult so maintaining a strong willpower and mindset is critical for those interested in working at Wunder.

    Advice to Management

Continue to find ways to improve quality of life for your employees and stay nimble and flexible.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Wunder Capital.

    Interview

Just a typical phone screen. I rarely write reviews however when I read another review with the quote “We are an engineering company doing finance” I couldn’t agree more. It was interesting from a personal due diligence perspective to understand their model. But they bragged about being “tech guys” and not having a sales force. Most notable was that was a lot of their projects are done for churches. Scary they don’t know that churches are very bad credit risks. Not a sustainable fee business model given their deal size, pricing, volume and distribution strategy.
