    Software Engineer Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at X-Team in August 2019.

    Interview

Very haphazard interview conducted by a Jr Engineer who stated he was with the company for less than 1 month. There was absolutely nothing professional about this interview.

I was told I was interviewing for a Full Time W2 position, then I was offered an hourly position on a 1099, expected to start working for a client in a few days. What I was presented with convinced me -thoroughly- that X-Team is just another random web dev firm but wrapped in a well-practiced sheet of PR/buzzwordy bloat. I can code monkey at an hourly rate any day...

As a Senior with 8 years in industry I found it borderline insulting to be interviewed solely by someone with no work experience and no tenure at the company. Hard Pass.
