Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Diversity Programs & Initiatives

Rising above the status quo has always been our way of doing things. It’s the reason X by 2 was started in the first place. Each of our three founders came from different backgrounds and ethnicities but held a similar belief: Diversity of thought and experiences was the only way to bring fresh, new ideas to the world of consulting. And that belief has continued to hold true at X by 2.

At X by 2, we recognize that diversity doesn’t always “just happen”. That’s why we’re intentional in setting evolving goals to pursue diversity at all levels in our company. We continually look for ways to adapt in order t

    Easy Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at X by 2 (Farmington Hills, MI)

The interview isn't too difficult. They're essentially exploring how deep your knowledge is. If you can answer all the interview questions on Glassdoor, you'll pass the interview.

For my personal experience, I slightly disagree with the interviewers being understanding as mentioned in another review. This was my 2nd tech interview and I really wanted to work at X by 2, which led to me being really nervous. Although I answered all questions with little to no help from the interviewer, they might've took the more prudent route and categorized me as a false-negative to be safe and explore other candidates. The only issue I have is they told me the interview would be 2hrs long, but the interviewer ended it after 1, and told me I had gone over. Maybe there was a communication error, but it gave me the impression that the interviewer didn't want to be there or considered my interview insignificant, which again, was weird considering I was keeping up with the questions and impressed the interviewer with how I structured a code solution. I made sure to ask many questions for clarity (as recommended in "Cracking the Coding Interview"), but that seemed to make me look less knowledgeable when really I wanted to make sure I was answering correctly as some of the questions asked I believe were worded strangely and the interviewer had a bad internet connection (this was viewable in the hackerrank interface).

Advice for candidates: If you can answer all the questions here on Glassdoor you'll be fine. AlgoMonster can help with algorithms and datastructure, and practice Leetcode. It's an easy interview, but they have a high standard. At the same time, for the standards that they have, they're paying below market rate for most entry level engineers/developers according to Glassdoor and Levels.fyi.
