  • XIFIN’s Return to Work Initiative for San Diego-based employees was a huge success. With the safety and health of our personnel being our No. 1 priority, XIFIN offered free COVID-19 testing for employees and dependents. Westpac Labs arrived onsite to collect blood and nasal swabs to test for the virus as well as antibodies. Testing was offered in addition to the social distancing and sanitization measures in place at our San Diego site. Our team has remained resilient in helping our clients and their patients to navigate these challenging times.

A Solid Foundation

From the beginning, XIFIN’s founders saw that with the accelerated pace of change in the healthcare industry and increasing demands for connectivity, a new paradigm was needed. In 2001, XIFIN introduced its groundbreaking Laboratory Billing solution—the first comprehensive accounts receivable and financial management solution designed using a financial framework specifically to address the problems that undermine the effectiveness and efficiency of laboratories’ revenue cycle management.

Taking advantage of its cloud-based platform, XIFIN wrapped its solution in a comprehensive set of managed services that removed not only the IT cost and maintenance burden that typically accompanies software, but also took on the never-ending task of keeping data logic and edits current, and performing all daily processing and management of online submissions. Today, XIFIN’s billing solutions service diagnostic service providers of all types — including clinical, hospital outreach, anatomic pathology, molecular diagnostics, toxicology, and radiology providers ranging from early stage startups to the nation’s largest laboratories and practices. XIFIN processes more than 200 million claims per year on behalf of its clients, and has realized over $2 billion in cumulative net cash collection gains for them.

    I have been working at XIFIN full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Working collaboratively is a big part of what drives the tight-knit culture at XIFIN. Many of us socialize outside of work because of the genuine relationships we’ve formed in the workplace. It also feels good to have your hard work acknowledged by management.

    Cons

    Communication delays between staff and management can be annoying. Many of us want to be kept in the loop of what’s happening at the top especially if the implications will have a direct impact on our daily tasks.

    Advice to Management

    The company is certainly moving in the right direction. Focus on improving weak points as highlighted here and in other reviews.

    I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at XIFIN in September 2019.

    Interview

    I had a phone interview with Melissa Yost for an operations role. Prior to this call I hadn’t had much practice interviewing so I was a bit nervous about the whole thing. Not more than five minutes into our conversation, I felt more comfortable and confident about the interview. Melissa was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, genuinely passionate about Xifin and over all a great interviewer. She paid really close attention to everything I said, thoroughly reviewed my resume and did a phenomenal job explaining Xifin’s position in the industry. The quality of my screening interview with Melissa just tells me they care for their talent and have a vested interest in their team. No offer or rejection yet, regardless of the outcome, this review is staying, Melissa is great at what she does! we need more caring, considerate and genuine recruiters like her.
