At XOJET, our commitment to investing in our people begins with recruitment. XOJET pilots complete a thorough interview process, meeting several members of the team and learning about our business.
We accept pilot applications on a rolling basis, and qualified candidates that successfully complete the interviews will be placed into a pilot pool if no positions are available at the time. As a pilot interviewing with XOJET you can expect to:
1) Review the job description to ensure you meet the minimum First Officer qualifications and submit your application online.
2) Selected applicants will be scheduled to participate in a phone interview and successful candidates will be scheduled to complete a technical interview via video chat (FaceTime or Skype).
3) After the phone interviews you will be placed in a pool to be invited to attend an interview at our Flight Ops center in Sacramento, CA.
4) If selected after the interview, candidates will be offered a class date to begin orientation in Sacramento, CA.

I love working at a company that has a clear forward-thinking vision and takes daring chances. The leadership here is more and more dynamic, diverse, and inspiring every year. There have been many chances for me to grow professionally over the years. I've worked at other private aviation companies, and XOJET has given me the most opportunity to become the best version of myself.
Management has done a good job of seeming transparent when it comes to communications regarding our investors, and upcoming possible M&A, which could be scary without the communication.
We have the same challenges any other high volume private aviation company does. Pilot turnover is a common topic of conversation, but I think it's natural that the draw of the airlines is too much for many. I think we're doing a good job of addressing the things we can to keep the talented pilots we draw, and don't see us losing many at all to other private aviation companies, so I have to believe we're improving.
Advice to Management
Keep up with the transparency. The town halls are great. The Executive Team's open door policy is welcome. Keep finding ways to reward the employees who give maximum effort.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at XOJET.
Initial contact via phone, voicemail left as I was unavailable at the time of the call. Also received an email requesting my attention and a call back to discuss the opportunity. Phone interview scheduled for 3 days later with Dir of Ops.
