XYZ

My manager always writes “hey” at the beginning of a question (eg, “Hey! Any questions on the XYZ analysis?”). I don’t know how to explain it but I find it so annoying / irritating. Maybe it’s the combination of the constant checking-in but the “hey(s)” are soooo annoying. I’m border Gen Z / millennial in case you were wondering.

Met up with a friend in another country. Originally he didn't want to which I was fine with. Then he said sure once I backed off... when we met up he wanted me to book everything and plan out the days. He wanted me to convince him to do things. Like wtf. He's like I'm good with anything n then would be like I don't want to eat this or do xyz. And on top He was just bitching about his cousin...like bro I'm on vacation keep your shit to yourself. What is wrong with him

Someone reached out to my on LinkedIn….”Hey do you remember me, I worked closely with your teammates at your old Company XYZ. I’m interested in working at your new company. Can you give me a referral / connection?” I don’t really know the person, just know OF them. Do you refer the persons to HR/recruiters? Just passing along their info? Nothing? How do I respond….
