    I worked at Y Design Graphics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    none except it was close to home at the time.

    Cons

    There is absolutely NO office, order and inventory management, none. From what I could tell ONE designer (eric?) was carrying the vast majority of the work load while others did very little, they never answered the phone, never answered the walk ins, they never answered emails and there was never any system established to make it more fair and balanced. The guys in the back seem to come and go as they please with ZERO accountability for their actions or mistakes. The owners push important jobs to the side and pull limited staff to work on their "friends" jobs instead of focusing on the correct order in the order it was taken and then get upset when all the other jobs are completed. just terrible management over all. They need an actual office manager and a full time receptionist would be a start.

    VERY LITTLE PAY, not enough even to contribute to a steady family even after several years you will only see about $12.00 per hour , there are ZERO health benefits, very limited vacation and no sick time.

    Advice to Management

    a full time office manager, a full time receptionist- your designers should not be answering the phones or emails until after some kind of order has been established.they receptionist could explain the process from start to finish which would eliminate the numerous misunderstandings about processing time and costs. A full time Manager needs to have eyes on the staff and keep the jobs balanced, they can also keep regular inventory,
    Finally, and most importantly... PAY A LIVABLE WAGE ($15.00 or more) to all staff especially if you offer no other benefits. We are all adults with bills and trying to start families and I know there is no way the owners or their son would ever live on $12.00 per hour, how do they expect anyone else too. Also a livable wage increases reliability, morel and productivity, its been proven several times over the years. Do better, care about your staff. Pretend to care at the very least.
