We set out to build a cooler without compromise -- one that would stand up to all the abuse we could throw at it. Turns out we weren’t alone in our frustration with cheap gear. Eleven years and a few more compromise-free products later, and we’re one of the ... Read more

I have been working at YETI Coolers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Amazing culture
    - Ability to work on cool projects and learn everyday
    - Beautiful work environment
    - Fast paced and growth oriented
    - Friendly
    - Transparent communication from the top down

    Cons

If you aren't up for a growth culture with all that it brings, YETI isn't the right place for you. The company is growing leaps and bounds and that means things aren't always black and white. Things change and that is part of growing up. In my mind, that is ok. I would far prefer to be at a company that is growing and tries to get it right vs. a company that has no strategy and is bleeding money. My advice to friends who want to join is be curious, come in with a genuine interest in learning in your area and outside. Put your hand up, do great work and follow through.

    Advice to Management

Keep focused on building the culture as the company grows. Don't lose the focus on people.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at YETI Coolers.

    Interview

From start to finish, and everywhere in between, YETI has been the most professional and informational company I have ever experienced in terms of the recruiting and interview process. YETI was one of the few companies who actually sent me a personal (not generic) email after I submitted my resume (through Indeed), and Ashley (senior recruiter) was instrumental in opening the communication and getting me quickly in for an interview. I drove to the office prior to my first interview and was intrigued by their space (beautiful deck off the cafeteria and a fire pit down below!). Ashley was the epitome of professionalism and a wealth of knowledge and information. She answered all of my questions promptly and sold me on YETI in minutes. The entire interview process was flawless, absolutely confirming my interest and intent, causing other companies I was interviewing with/considering to pale in comparison! The communication throughout the offer process was second to none. I've been in the working world for many years and honestly have never felt the "team" atmosphere anywhere else in my career. Not only was everything I mention present, but more importantly, their culture and product reputation was even more significantly present. When I mentioned to family and friends that I was interviewing with YETI, I was overwhelmingly inundated with their cult-like review of their favorite YETI product they absolutely could not live without. My experience was amazing, and I highly recommend considering YETI as the perfect place in which to work!
