Lantana Office Image

At YETI, we believe that time spent outdoors matters more than ever and our gear can make that time extraordinary.  When you work here, you have the opportunity to create something exceptional, build something sustainable and make a real impact.  We are built for the wild.

They are a part of the YETI DNA and are the values that got us to where we are today. They are who we are and the backbone of everything we do.

  1. Be authentic and innovative with our brand and products
  2. Continually strive for improvement
  3. Prioritize activities that have the biggest impact
  4. Be responsive and go the extra mile
  5. Act with a sense of urgency
  6. No one succeeds alone

As we layout our strategy, we keep three things in mind when planning for long-term success at YETI:

  • Build something extraordinary
  • Make a real impact
  • Ensure its sustainable

At YETI, you will be empowered with the courage and intensity to rethink how we do our jobs. You're encouraged to leverage your creativity, passion, and intensity to DO BETTER with unfiltered and unfettered creativity and ideas that will make us better every day with an eye towards being Extraordinary, Impactful, and Sustainable. There is no blueprint for what we are trying to accomplish, so be ready to move fast, fail fast, refine our approach and try again. Take responsibility and ownership of seeing things to the end and removing any obstacles that get into our way.  Beware that any suggestion you provide may come right back to you for execution. While we will not be reckless, unstructured or ignore well-formed thought, we will not slow down.

Our Story Cover Page

GROWING UP, MY BROTHER AND I always had a passion for the outdoors. Hunting. Fishing. Traveling to outdoor industry trade shows with our teacher-turned-entrepreneur father. We were raised with an appreciation for wild game, unfamiliar territory and high quality gear.

But the coolers that were out there just weren't up to our outdoor adventures - the handles would break, the latches would snap off and thelids would cave-in. Not only was it a hassle to replace our coolers after each season, but these cheaply built, ordinary ice chests were limiting our good times. And that frustration led us to a solution.

In 2006 we founded YETI Coolers with a simple mission: build the cooler we'd use every day if it existed. One that was built for the serious outdoor enthusiast rather than for the mass discount retailers. One that could take the abuse we knew we'd put it through out in the field and on the water. One that simply wouldn't break. We decided early on that product innovation would come from necessity and firsthand experience - not from market research and data analysis. And we'd never sacrifice quality for a few extra bucks. Because having your cooler's lid cave-in when using it as a casting platform should never be part of anyone's fishing trip.

We're so glad that we weren't the only ones looking for a YETI. Today it is the cooler of choice for outdoor enthusiasts, pros, tailgaters and backyard barbeque kings. And that still gets us fired up. Ultimately, life is about having a good time doing what you love. And for us, that's being outdoors hunting whitetail, catching a tarpon on the fly and spending time with our families and buddies. We're wild at heart. So our coolers couldn't be anything less.

I have been working at YETI full-time (More than 3 years)

I love working at YETI because you can be an agent of change at any level within the organization. If you are inquisitive and ambitious, the sky is the limit in terms of what you can gain exposure to. YETI is constantly expanding into new physical and systematic frontiers; there's never a dull moment in IT. If you are a student of life, this is the best school you could possibly attend. I started as a BSA Generalist and have had the opportunity to work with Sales, Supply Chain, E-Commerce, Finance, Marketing and Customer Service. We have so many exciting technology projects for 2020!

YETI is frenetic and fluid. You have to stay quick on your feet with a flow to work attitude, or it can be overwhelming to work here. At times, it can feel that the cost is high (hours, level of intensity, etc.). But I've found the benefit from opportunity always exceeds it.

    Advice to Management
