Sales at Yext 

Over 30% of our workforce is made up of Sales members spanning our offices in North America, EMEA, and APAC, making it the largest department at Yext. Leveling Up

It takes strong communication, grit, and a top-notch sales approach to trailblaze the SaaS market. That’s why all of our Sales hires are enrolled in a two-week training that’s designed to accelerate development and provide foundational knowledge. We want to ensure everyone on our team is set up for success from day one. We continue to level up our skills during our annual Q1 Kick-Off (which is also where we announce our President’s Club winners who get to go on a 4-day tropical retreat)!

Engineering at Yext

The Engineering team is much like the Yext Knowledge Graph: They are our foundation. This team’s mission is to build a global platform that can deliver perfect answers everywhere. Yext Engineering has over 170 employees and 30 teams, which are organized by vertical slices — giving them full ownership of a product or feature from frontend to backend. Our engineers follow the scrum methodology and primarily code in Java, but don’t discriminate against Go and Javascript.


Career Journey

We have defined a multi-level career journey to support our engineers as they perfect their craft and take on more responsibility. These defined levels provide managers with a tangible method to measure growth and provide benchmarks to encourage career development.
Some engineering-only benefits that we offer are O’Reilly Online subscriptions, weekly video brown bags with leaders in tech, and our “Learning is Good” program, a yearly all-expenses-paid trip to a tech conference of each team member’s choice.

Northern Europe

Yext has 18 offices globally, and London is our largest EMEA office. It’s home to nearly 75 employees across all departments. In 2019, the team moved from cosy Golden Square to a lavish 15,600 sq. ft. office near Oxford Circus. Yext London now has plenty of space to grow to accommodate the 200+ employees we plan to hire over the next 5 years. The team hosts frequent happy hours, charity fundraisers, holiday parties, and other socials including escape rooms and go-karting!


Central, Southern, and Western Europe

Yext's global footprint stretches through Europe, with offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, Geneva, Madrid, Milan, and Munich. Our central headquarters is located in the heart of Berlin, overlooking the Gedächtniskirche. Within 3 years of opening its doors in 2017, Yext has been named the #1 employer in Berlin. Within their first year of opening our southern headquarters in Paris, the office doubled in growth and tripled our enterprise customers, many of which are in luxury retail.



To accommodate our growth in Asia, we are moving our Toyo office to the 8th floor in the iconic Toranomon Hills Mori Tower, the tallest building in Japan’s capital. With this expansion, our Tokyo office plans to hire 100 employees over the next 5 years to help us work towards our mission. In addition to Tokyo, Yext also has an office in Shanghai, China. We are integrated with some of the largest Chinese services so businesses using Yext can provide perfect answers to Chinese travelers.

The Yext Rotational Program

Upward, the Yext Rotational Program, offers a unique opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing technology companies in New York City! The program's mission is to develop future leaders by empowering, mentoring, and enabling participants to innovate and learn across a variety of teams, products, and focus areas. Upward Analysts will have the opportunity to rotate through different business units and offer solutions to some of the world’s biggest brands — leaving a lasting footprint at Yext.


Program Rotations

This 18-month program consists of three 6-month rotations. The first rotation is in one of our client delivery teams, giving analysts the opportunity to work within the Yext product suite, systems, and operations. Matching for the second and third rotations are based on skills, personal interests, and career goals. Rotations include:

  • Marketing
  • Operations 
  • Product Strategy 
  • Revenue 

Analysts who successfully complete the 18-month program will be eligible for permanent placement at Yext.

    My voice is heard. There is collaboration between departments. We have a friendly and respectful culture. Professional development is valued. Colleagues are smart and hard-working.


    We don't have an on campus swag store a la Google and Facebook and when swag is given out, it is not usually in a style I would wear.

    Advice to Management

    Keep investing in your people. Keep trying to hire for diversity. If someone complains of a toxic culture, investigate and work to improve it.

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Yext (San Francisco, CA) in February 2020.


    From beginning to end the interview process was thorough, well executed, and considerate. The initial screening and subsequent interview with the hiring manager was completed quickly allowing us to establish whether there was mutual interest. They were mindful of my own process, existing commitments, and need to select them as well as the other way around. I left feeling sought after and not just a candidate in the process. The recruiters were very engaged to ensure that you were properly prepared for meetings and expectations were set. I thought it very professional and represented the organization well.
