I have been working at York English full-time (More than 5 years)
I have been working in ESL for a number of years, and before I joined York English, I had never come across a school that truly cared about the educational value they provided. Within a year of working for York English, I felt that I had developed more as a teacher than in my previous few years combined (The training program that York English provides deserves a lot of credit as it is far better than anything I have come across before).
Outside of teaching I was given a position with management responsibilities, which allowed me to continue to develop myself professionally. The school is expanding quite quickly, meaning that there are opportunities to move up for those who seek it; just in this past year alone they have added new positions in HR, Teacher Development, and Social Media.
Not much to speak of. As some have noted, this is not the highest paying position in China (though speaking from experience, no amount of money can make up for a dreadful employer!!!).
Some people find the Wed - Sun Schedule a bit inconvenient (I personally prefer it as its better to go traveling on Monday / Tuesday when less people are about!).
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6+ months. I interviewed at York English (Los Angeles, CA) in February 2017.
Mike interviewed me through Skype. He was very professional and prepared to answer any of my questions. The connection did lag a bit, but it worked.
There may be an issue with interviewees in the US where the time you are given for your interview might not match the time in Fuzhou. I ended up talking to the interviewer at 2am on a Sunday morning, but it went well
