I worked at YoungWilliams Child Support Services full-time (More than 5 years)
My boss was incredible and I had a great deal of flexibility and autonomy. The work that the company does is very valuable. I had an exempt level position and was compensated fairly. However, the caseworkers were not and they did the lions share of the work.
High turnover due to the high stress, thankless job the case workers do. The owner cares more about the bottom line than the folks in the offices working to increase it.
Advice to Management
Corporate management needs to do a MUCH better job at acknowledging the caseworkers that work tirelessly for those they serve. A little GENUINE recognition goes a long ways. The managers at the local office levels are fantastic and do an excellent job with their staff.
I applied in-person. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at YoungWilliams Child Support Services (Jackson, MS) in October 2016.
None was absorbed with company and no choice. Found out they had the contract and that was it. We were told we would have the same benefits and holidays but not once in new office, and your job will completely change. Go from private offices to cubicles with cameras watching employees
