I worked at Z57 full-time (More than a year)
Overall, I had an excellent experience at Z57. Although the company is known in the industry for its high turnover, the sales training here is exceptional, and, is ultimately what led me to pursue other opportunities in sales.
As someone who was a natural self-starter, but came in with ZERO sales experience, I was there for over a year, graduated top of my training class and was first to hit some pretty serious milestones within the company. Overall, I can testify to the fact that Z is a challenging, yet fun and high-energy environment. The people and culture ultimately are what kept me there for as long as I was, and it was a personal decision to move on in light of my other goals.
I started off straight cold-calling for over a year, achieved great success, and then once the Inbound Team rolled out, I transitioned over under the management of Michael Selvaggio. I must say that I could not have been as successful as I was on my own, and I attribute many of my successes to those whom I consider to be Z57 "Legends": Jef Latimer, Caitlin White, Ryland Stanley, Michael Selvaggio and Chelsea Mudlo. Thank you for your encouragement, help & support along the way.
Stressful and I didn't sleep a lot. You also get FAT if you don't watch what you eat.
Advice to Management
Customer Service needs some revamping
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Z57 (San Diego, CA) in June 2017.
The first round was more of an orientation that really helped me see what the company is all about. They laid everything out on the table. We got to sit with. Sales associates and listen on the phone and it made me realize I did not want to work there. The girl I sat with was not very helpful in giving the company a good reputation. She was very nice but not very nice on the phone.
New leadership as of May 1st...we strive for our employees to have the passion and the drive to be successful! Employees and customers are now our obsession as we begin a new era at Z57.
