I had an interview with this company, and while the hiring manager was nice, he struggled with my name and seemed nervous about my background. It was a bit awkward, but I helped him learn my name and we got through it. However, the VP's behavior during the interview was disappointing. He started off asking good questions, but then seemed to lose interest and checked out, putting his hands on his face and closing his eyes while I was talking. It was clear that he wasn't interested in me as a candidate, and it made me feel undervalued. Another issue I had with the company was the lack of diversity in the interview panel. It was uncomfortable to sit in front of two CIS white males and talk about my experiences as a person of color. I think it's important for companies to have a diverse panel of interviewers so that all candidates feel heard and valued. Overall, while the company has potential, there are definitely areas where they could improve their interview process. Creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all candidates, ensuring interviewers are engaged and prepared, and striving for diversity in their interview panels would be a great start.InterviewExperience and what if questions
