Zivelo – Why Work For Us?

We are revolutionizing how brands and consumers interact. Since 2008, our passionate team of designers, engineers and developers have rapidly grown ZIVELO into a global force behind engagement tech. How? For those who have fed off the sprint, they’ll tell you it’s because ZIVELO is unmatched in expertise, quality and philosophy.

We ideate and achieve architected experiences for our client’s client, through interactive kiosks, signage and software.

We’re growing fast and redefining a company culture—and we’ve been making intentional hires to do so. Now accepting applications and interest from those looking to ride new momentum, shape global impact and experience the minds of digital-engagement’s cutting edge.

ZIVELO is ranked on the Inc. 500|5000 list as one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S. and the third fastest growing computer hardware company in the U.S. ZIVELO was recognized by Forbes, the Huffington Post, and Mashable for its business growth and its environmental sustainability initiatives.

    - There is open communication between leadership and the rest of the office.

    - You’ll know what’s going on in the company by attending All Hands meetings and Lunch and Learns.

    - From my experience there is a low level of office politics. If you do well, you’re recognized for it.

    - You’ll work with kind people (this is not a toxic workplace from what I’ve experienced).

    - The Scottsdale office is designed with a very modern vibe. There are very few office areas that are hidden which gives it an automatic “open door policy” vibe. There are small round egg chairs spread throughout the office that are great places to work quietly and are comfy. They have an almost full kitchen (minus stove)... the only down side is the cabinets have trouble closing and opening.

    - There’s clarity when it comes to pay. The benefits they offer are health, dental, vision coverage, PTO, 401K, and a few other things.

    - There are opportunities to move up and experience new departments as long as you do well in your current role and if you ask.

This is a private company and Scottsdale is HQ. You’d currently be joining a fairly small company, when it comes to the number of employees. You’ll know everyone by name quickly, information will travel quickly, and not playing well with others will be noticed company-wide very quickly.

    - The kitchen cabinet doors
    - Fashion Square building issues
    - A few difficult apples

    - Ask for what you need and want. You’ll be heard and given clarity.

    - Things move and change quickly. Wait out the uncertainty.

    - Take advantage of the calm before the storm. Get organized and prepped when there’s a lull.

    - Ask for more work and you’ll get it.

    - Clean up after yourself, in the kitchen and otherwise. Desk cleanliness is noticed here.

    - Have a good sense of humor. You’ll hear a lot of laughter throughout the office (there is a bit of an echo with the concrete floors).

    - Wear comfortable shoes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty (again, concrete floors and they often have kiosks moving throughout the office).

    - Keep it classy. You can dress up or dress casual.

    - Be ok with getting your hands dirty (literally and figuratively).

    - If you are mechanically inclined you’ll have a leg up.

    - Don’t be a jerk.

    Advice to Management

Keep updating the team on company news, keep up the lunch and learns, keep communicating with your teams.

    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Zivelo (Phoenix, AZ) in September 2017.

Had a phone screening with hiring manager that went very well. Was told that this role would report into the VP of Strategy who works out of state. When they return back into town; a second interview would be scheduled. I was then called a week later and told that they had decided to offer the position internally.
