Feel the Flavors of Life
Far away on a map but deliciously close at hand, lies the Mediterranean. A unique Region of the world wherelife radiates with goodness. The food is simple and honest. The lifestyle is fresh and vibrant. The experience is unforgettable.
Zoës Kitchen was born of this spirit.
Embark on a journey through the Mediterranean as we explore the foods, sights and sounds that make this corner of the world truly unique and endlessly inspiring. It's the perfect place to experience the little luxuries and traditions that make life rich.
With more than 50 locations (and growing!), Zoës Kitchen believes in making a difference in the communities we call home. At Zoës, giving back to our communities is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
At Zoës Kitchen, we place great value on our people, their hard work and their work-life balance. After all, a healthy, balanced lifestyle isn’t just part of our company philosophy; it’s a key element of living Mediterranean.
Our people are smart, dedicated and enthusiastic. They’re empowered to anticipate and respond to customer needs, and encouraged to set goals and seize opportunities for professional growth. Through Zoës University, our managers receive comprehensive training, and learn every aspect of the restaurant business.
For employees looking for a company with family values and high expectation-driven culture, Zoës offers exceptional benefits, bonus opportunities, meal privileges and schedules that support a healthy work-life balance. That includes no late nights!
If you can thrive in a strong team environment that inspires creativity, responsibility and fun, we can’t wait to meet you!
I have been working at Zoës Kitchen full-time (More than 3 years)
This is easily the most fun I've had working at any concept in my career. The leadership is solid, the food is fantastic, the team has a high chance of success, and the Guests truly enjoy what we're doing. The tremendous growth and the opportunities it brings are added bonuses. There is enough structure and support so that you aren't on your own but not so much that it kills the energy you can bring to your team.
I don't consider it a con, but you have to like to work at a high pace with a lot going on at any time, either in or out of store. If you're not ready to be "all in" you won't enjoy it. But if you like to be busy and build sales, this is the right place.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Zoës Kitchen (Dallas, TX).
Lengthy Interview and Hiring Process:
1) Initial contact by recruiter (phone interview)
2) Submission of Full Application
3) Go into store for Interview with District Manager
4) Go into store for "Working Interview"
5) Go through a lengthy online personality test and business experience test.
6) Job Offer Is Made of accepted, contract signed online, and documents are submitted.
7) A few weeks later, training process starts:
8) One week of Host Cashier Training, two weeks of prep cook/chef training, two weeks of management training.
9) After 5 weeks of training, you are assigned to a store and finally start in your normal job.
I tried to negotiate many things, but was denied on every one. Very hard to negotiate with this company on anything including salary, vacation, and other benefits.
