Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Company Updates

September 9, 2020
“Your opinions don’t matter, your actions do.” A few weeks ago, we announced period leaves for our female and transgender teammates. We are humbled by the discussion we were able to start in the community. https://lnkd.in/eUFxGQn https://lnkd.in/d4iGj6u As a business, and a women-friendly organisation, we are really happy about our decision. Our inbound job application rate has tripled (3x) since we announced period leaves. All of this increase is driven by women applicants. For Zomato, it’s the 3x number that’s important. We are indifferent to whether this increase comes from men or women. We now have way more great talent coming our way. Men and women are biologically different – they cannot be identical to each other. However, at least at Zomato, both are equal in value delivered towards the growth of the company. #EqualNotIdentical #Zomato #Periodleave
