    What a mess! The HR person originally emailed me to set up a phone interview. We agree on a date and time--a Monday afternoon. However, on the Friday prior, she called at 10:13am, got my VM, and apologized for being so late to the interview call, which apparently she thought was scheduled for Friday at 10. I was out that day and didn't get the message until late afternoon and immediately called her to let her know that we weren't scheduled until Monday. I didn't want her to think I'd had blown her off! (Thankfully the email trail backed up me--always a dicey position to be in as a job searcher. ) At that call, she asked if we could change the time from Monday to Tuesday. I say sure, not a problem. So, what happens on Monday? She calls then. I say "I can totally take the call now, but do you want to do it tomorrow at the time you'd requested, or I'm happy to talk now if you want." She asks if we could do it on Tuesday, so we hang up, and then FINALLY on Tuesday, we have the call.

    It went well and she said she'd talk to the hiring manager and that she was sure he'd want to talk to me, and she'd get back to me in a couple of days to set up a time. I hear nothing. I email her and she gets back to me telling me that the hiring manager had found someone else a few days earlier and had made an offer to that person.

    The reviews for Zones here on Glassdoor are certainly not great. I decided to give them a chance anyway. Obviously, a mistake. Hopefully they will all get their act together soon.
