I have been working at Zones full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Zones is a very self-service culture. You have to be smart and work very hard, but the rewards can definitely come. Because we are such a large sales organization, many people come and go. Most of those people seem to have a victim mentality and expect the world to gift them. If you don't make excuses, you don't pass the buck, and you don't point fingers, you can do some amazing things at Zones.

    Cons

Change is hard. People who are ill informed perceive change as directed at them. But it is a necessary part of competing in the technology industry.

    Advice to Management

Keep making positive improvements and the cream will rise to the top.

    Cloud Solutions Specialist Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Portland, OR
    No Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zones (Portland, OR) in April 2018.

    Interview

I was pleased to receive a message on LinkedIn for this position from an internal recruiter as it relates to the field I’m in now and I had just begun my job search.

The first interview went really well and they wanted to proceed with next steps. The folks I was supposed to interview with were traveling so I had to wait to get the scheduling confirmed, no problem. The day before my interview the recruiter reached out asking if I could reschedule because the people I’d be interviewing with had to be pulled for a training. A training, not something urgent or client related. Since I’m currently still working and have a very busy schedule and it is difficult to set time aside to interview, much less reschedule last minute. This seemed indicative of how I’d be treated as employee if other non-emergencies came up.

Based on what I’ve read in the company reviews and the slow moving interview process I experienced, I lost interest in Zones and accepted a position elsewhere.
