I have been working at Zoro full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

In my 3+ years at Zoro, I've had a lot of opportunity to grow and expand my skillset and to take on new projects and opportunities.
    - Outstanding Grainger benefits
    - Solid bonus package
    - 2 great office locations (Chicago and Buffalo Grove)
    - Excellent company culture (in trivial and substantive ways; lots of food, swag, perks, but also attention to transparency, values-based culture, etc.)
    - Good opportunities for growth (training, conferences, certifications, tuition reimbursement, etc.)
    - Company is growing FAST
    - Opportunity for flexible career path (promotions aren't always available, but there's been a lot of opportunity to grow my skills, influence, and compensation in other ways)

    Cons

The company culture has experienced some growing pains the last couple years. It's been difficult to transition from a small start-up-like company to a more robust ecommerce company. With the rapid growth of the business, the culture took a few steps back. Things are definitely improving, and it's made creating and maintaining a good culture a higher priority. I expect this will make the company stronger in the end.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Zoro.

    Interview

Phone call from a 3rd party for initial phone screen, phone call with hiring manager who barely listened to my questions and then proceeded to answer something unrelated. In person I felt like I was being cattle called and rudely walked out the door without much for pleasantries along the way. I found out I lost the job to an internal candidate, but still see the job being posted on a weekly basis and it's been a few months.
