To help understand the Brain of the Planner, Zulily commissioned a first-of-its kind pilot study by third-party researcher ENGINE, which looked at moms to uncover their attitudes and emotions related to planning versus procrastinating. As part of this research, ENGINE used linguistic and facial coding to study the differences in language and emotions displayed by Planners and Procrastinators as they engaged in a series of storytelling tasks. This study found that moms experience lower stress and anxiety, more time for leisure and socializing, healthier relationships, and more stability through planning—and importantly, that these positive behaviors can be learned over time.

Supportive and collaborative working environment, clear focus on customers, leadership team committed to listening and improving based on feedback. I’ve found a real commitment here to supporting

Can be a bit siloed — but that’s to be expected in a remote environment; over-rotation on homegrown platforms and systems that aren’t efficient.

Advice to Management

Continue to ask for and act on feedback. Continue recent commitment to transparency and more open and honest dialog. Protect values and culture despite so many Amazon hires.
