Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion  

Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is deeply rooted in our company’s Principles, which call on us to Drive Progress, Act With Empathy, Be Brave, Embrace the Future, and Do What’s Right. We recognize this is a journey, and we know we have plenty of work ahead of us. We intend to do what it takes to make a meaningful difference in this space, in order to empower our teams, our partners, and the communities in which we live and work. There are a number of opportunities for our team members to get involved, starting with our Team Member Resource Groups or TMRGs. Our five TMRGs were created by and for our Zulily employees, and help to activate and amplify our diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy: 

  • Color Outside the Lines: We represent and celebrate team members of color, and encourage career development through mentoring and sponsorship, as well as community engagement efforts through volunteering and partnerships. We help Zulily create a safe place to address racial equity in our community. 
  • Women’s Initiative Network (WIN): We are focused on enabling professional development for women at Zulily. WIN provides ongoing learning and education around challenges and barriers women face in the workplace. Our goal is to bring events, networking initiatives, and career development opportunities as well as provide support to develop team members and leaders. 
  • Zulily Women in Technology (ZuWiT): We are committed to building an inclusive and equitable culture for women and their allies across Zulily’s tech community. ZuWit aims to elevate awareness, celebrate women, educate allies, and connect through mentorship and networking. We serve Zulily’s mission to embrace change and win as a team. 
  • Queerate: We seek to embrace LGBTQ+ team members at Zulily. We welcome team members from all identities, sexualities, and allies. We believe that open dialogue throughout our organization fosters an environment where everyone can express their authentic self at work. As a part of Qurate Retail Group, we are proud to have earned a 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index report.
  • Supporting Qurate Individuals with Disabilities (SQUID): We provide Zulily with the opportunity to recognize, support, and empower team members with disabilities, along with loved ones and our greater community. We focus on raising awareness about the issues and opportunities we face and furthering Zulily’s efforts to be accessible and inclusive. 

Community Giving and Volunteering  

At  Zulily, we invest in the communities where our team members and customers live, through our giving programs, donation match benefits for our team members, sample sales and volunteer efforts. Here are just a few of the initiatives we are proud of leading and partnering on in 2020:   

  • With our parent company Qurate Retail Group (QRG), we donated $10,000 to Black Girls Code in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and $5,000 to American Heart Association during the Wear Red Day campaign  
  • We donated more than 3.4M meals to Feeding America and $1M to St. Jude during our QRG holiday give-back campaign, through the generosity of our team members, vendors, and customers
  • Our teams gave nearly $1.5M in-kind donations to organizations across our Zulily locations in 2020
  • We donated 105,688 units of samples  during 2020 to support childhood cancer research at Seattle Children’s Hospital
  • Zulily sponsored NC4K’s A Night of Champions first ever drive-in event in Columbus, OH
  • We donated nearly  2,000 pounds  of canned and non-perishable items to Food Lifeline to help fight food insecurity families are facing during a global pandemic
  • Zulily’s Columbus Office created an unprecedented  virtual sample sale  with studio props and samples. Proceeds and samples were donated to Ronald McDonald House, NC4K, and a domestic violence shelter.
