    Pros

The company is only about three years old but has the foundational trappings of a much more established company. That means the organizational framework is there (who does what), but there are also plenty of opportunities to step up and claim ownership of strategic tasks and initiatives and "make your mark." Zylo and its leadership–from C-Level to senior management–take employee feedback seriously and value the variety of experience and expertise employees bring from their previous roles. The product is truly unique and has nearly unlimited potential. The work is fast-paced, exciting, and challenging (in a good way). Great office location and environment, great equipment, flexible hours, and great attitude and communication from management on almost every front. The company run as a meritocracy: Everyone from the CEO to entry-level employees makes a unique contribution that's respected and appreciated.

    Cons

A startup environment isn't for anyone and things can move very quickly here. If you need a lot of time to learn new things or require rigid rules and direct, hands-on supervision, this place probably isn't a good fit for you.

    Advice to Management

As we grow, preserve the small things that add up to making this place special: Trust, authenticity, respect, and making time and space to grow collegial relationships.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zylo (Indianapolis, IN) in March 2020.

    Interview

The interview process was pretty straight forward for tech: HR Phone Screen, Hiring Manager Phone Screen, Salaray/Benefits alignment, in-person 1/2 day interviews with relevant teams.

The recruiter was incredibly helpful -- I appreciated how transparent she was and the feedback she gave. They ended up not hiring the role, but she was very constructive on why --- and how I could fit at Zylo in the future.
