I worked at benefitsCONNECT full-time (Less than a year)
I feel that bC has many pros such as friendships to be made, a good product, nice perks, room for advancement, people willing to help you, and many others. bC has so much potential with their product.
I did not come to this site to bad mouth anyone or anything at bC. I feel that it is a good place to work for someone that is passionate about software developing and/or benefits administration. We all have our own paths in life and maybe bC will be a portion of that path. I am appreciative for the opportunity that I was given and wish everyone much luck in the future.
Advice to Management
Try to be more open and communicative with your employees. In the short time that I was there, I saw so many individuals get left in the dark. When you would ask more than one person a question on how to do something, you would receive more than one answer. There seemed to be a lot of inconsistency. I am all for having multiple work groups, but everyone needs to work together (as a part of a large team) and not develop cliques that cause a divide between departments. Don't let stress ruin your life or your work days. Smile. Be happy. Be positive. Be supportive. Don't allow employees to speak ill of management or other employees. Negativity thrives on negativity and it breeds instability. Good luck!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at benefitsCONNECT (Rancho Cordova, CA) in January 2016.
The interview process took place over several days which allowed both benefitsCONNECT to get to know me beyond a creative resume and for me to get to know benefitsCONNECT, the management along with a good snapshot of the company culture and attitude.
