    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at bluebird bio (Cambridge, MA) in Mar 2021

    Interview

I applied to the Program Manager role and was invited for the initial screen. From there, I had a second interview with the hiring manager (~ 2 weeks) and then I advanced to the slate of 6 interviews (between scheduling conflicts this took approximately 2 weeks). It was a mix of behavioral screeners vs. technical screeners and cultural fit. Overall, enjoyable and conversational interviews where I felt that I was able to showcase my managerial skills, cultural competence skills and behavioral skills. I got some good feedback during the interview process. The whole process from initial interview to decision was 4 weeks.
    Interview

Normal battery of questions: Tell me about a time... etc.. How do you handle difficult situations... what is your approach. Tell me about your biggest success vs biggest failure.

We are a flock of fierce animal lovers! Every year one of our birds takes the lead on collecting donations and goods for the MSPCA and Animal Rescue League to help furry friends (because, sometimes, it's not only people who need a little help). This year enough donations we raised for bluebird to sponsor a kennel for a full calendar year! #bluebirddays #thisispersonal #animallovers
